Complex Liability Adjuster

The Role:
An excellent opportunity is available for a Complex Liability Adjuster to join our successful Complex Liability team.

You will primarily investigate and handle to settlement a wide range of high value and complex property and injury liability claims typically in the areas of Employer's, Public, Construction and Products. If needed, you may be asked to assist with Utilities Claims.

ACII/ACILA qualified [preferred] you will investigate and handle to settlement a wide range of complex liability claims typically in the areas of Public, Employers and Products Liability. Allied to this technical aspect, the role will also include a developmental role common to all Complex Adjusters, whereby you will be expected to meet with clients to enhance our existing relationships in the local/national markets and build new relationships.

You will have/will be:

  • Progression towards professional qualifications preferred

  • Demonstrable experience of investigating, handling and settling high value/complex property liability claims, in particular public, construction, and product liability losses

  • Alternatively, good experience in first property claims handling as an Adjuster or Surveyor with the desire and drive to develop into liability claims handling

  • Ideally, experience in handling high value/complex claims

  • A proven track record in client liaison and profile

  • Able to work on own initiative

  • Flexible in both the way in which you work and the time necessary to devote to certain tasks, be highly motivated, personable and efficient

  • Forward thinking and innovative – adjusters are encouraged to share ideas for the development of the Complex Loss offering

  • Operate as a team player

  • Technically excellent across the range of topics identified

  • Good IT skills

  • The ability to work to deadlines whilst maintaining a high quality of work

  • The ability to prioritise work as required

  • Full UK Driving Licence essential
