YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE: 

Include but not limited to 

Review production schedules, engineering specifications, process flows, and other information to understand methods and activities in manufacturing and services. 

Analyzes data, reports, and processes in order to improve the productivity and profitability of the operations through initiation and implementation of projects that optimize costs, efficiency, and quality.   

Recommends the best methods of space, manpower, material, and equipment utilization in production facilities. Determines cost effect of special requests by Engineering, Marketing, operational, and / or upper management groups. 

Investigates, plans, and works with other departments, such as production and quality,  to carry out a cost reduction plan by analyzing and evaluating projects, developing action plans, coordinating, implementing, and following-up for results.   

Supports operations with worker structuring, process changes and improvements, and maximizing operation efficiencies. Assists facilities in the area of workplace safety.   

Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of complicated tasks. Quarterly goals and objectives reports are required, as well as detailed factory trip reports with summaries of opportunities, results of tests, and photos / diagrams. 

  • Figure out how to manufacture parts or products, or deliver services, with maximum efficiency. Enact quality control procedures to resolve production problems or minimize costs. 
  • Work with customers and management to develop standards for design and production.  
  • Reports to a Senior Engineer or Engineering manager.  A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected. 

 

WHAT WE WILL BE LOOKING FOR IN YOU:

  • Skills: 

Has wide knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within the Industrial Engineering field. Familiar with a variety of the field’s concepts, practices, and procedures within the garment manufacturing field and industrial engineering.  

In the case of an internal promotion, this individual will have completed the LWR Sourcing Engineering Trainee program, and has documented this. 

  • Parry of internal communication and degree of difficulty: 

Will need to communicate with the merchant teams and logistics teams within LWR. 

Difficulty arises from selling his cost reduction ideas and gaining the trust of his internal customers. 

Will need to communicate with subordinates to review their performance, and lend guidance. 

Will need to rely on leadership skills in order to translate ideas and data into action plans. 

  • Experience 3 years 

  • Language Proficiency: English and local language fluency in both oral and writing

ACADEMIC QUALIFICATIONS 

BS in Industrial Engineering  (Mandatory) 

Major Subject: Industrial/Production Engineer 

 

SPECIFIC WORKING CONDITIONS  if any

  • Frequency of Travel: 60% 

  • External communication required: 50% 

  • Major Challenges for this role: 

Optimize manufacturing cost by improve the method and motion in Manufacturing and secure capacity for LWR products.  

Reduce freight cost per piece across all coalitions by utilizing your technical knowledge to improve container utilization, packing densities, and carton utilization. 

Work with the merchant teams to reduce FOB pricing by identifying cost reduction opportunities in the areas of thread, fabric, trims, packaging materials, and garment construction.  Follow up with opportunities identified and help the merchant teams with implementation of the same. 

Work directly or indirectly with manufacturers in order to improve efficiencies, productivity, quality, and meet delivery dates.  Help manufacturers reduce manufacturing cycle time and improve Speed to Market.
