DIRECTV is seeking an AVP of Marketing Advanced Analytics professional with leadership level experience to own the overarching Forecasting, Performance Management, and Governance function.

Here's what you’ll do:

  • Lead teams of Advanced Analysts who are focused on delivering insights at the speed of the business.
  • Create foreword looking forecasts for subscriber volumes, sales, churn, and revenue.
  • Deliver weekly performance reporting vs. forecast including providing insights on the performance of all elements of DIRECTV’s business.
  • Create and deliver impactful presentations to C-level audiences, providing the right level of detail and clear insights.
  • Put subscriber performance into context with industry and macro-economic trends.
  • Partner closely with business leaders responsible for delivering subscriber and revenue results, using insights to prioritize and drive improvements in those results.
  • Manage the evolution of analytics products - what we should build, why, and how we can deliver better insights more efficiently for DIRECTV.
  • Identify opportunity and provide leadership on how to incorporate advanced predictive analytical tools and emerging technologies like generative AI to provide deeper insights into business performance and areas of opportunity.
  • Manage resources to ensure business insights are delivered on a weekly/monthly/quarterly basis.

What you’ll need to be successful:

  • Education: Advanced degree from an accredited University in a Quantitative field of study such as Data Science, Math, Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering or Physics preferred.
  • Experience: Typically requires 7-10 years of experience in marketing analytics.
  • Executive-Level Data Presentation: Present data-driven insights and recommendations to executive leadership in a clear and compelling manner.
  • Intentional Communication: Demonstrate exceptional strategic communication skills with an ability to articulate complex concepts to executive-level stakeholders.
  • Advanced Data Analysis and Machine Learning: Mastery of strategic data analysis, machine learning techniques, and statistical model frameworks to solve complex business problems and drive organizational strategy and innovation.
  • Technical Data Mastery: Expert-level proficiency in working with data using query languages such as SQL, R and/or Python, Databricks, Snowflake, Tableau, Power BI, Synapse, and H2O Driverless AI.
  • Visionary Leadership: Demonstrates visionary leadership in driving data-driven initiatives and fostering a culture of innovation and excellence.
  • Strategic Partnerships: Ability to build strategic partnerships both internally and externally to leverage data assets and drive business growth and transformation.
  • Growing Teams: Coach/mentor/inspire other data scientists and non-technical people in the use of data science and analytics.
  • Subscriber based business experience a plus!
  • Proven track record of execution and delivery.
  • Considered an expert in Advanced Analytics.
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and time management skills.

This is a remote position that can be located anywhere in the United States, however Southern California location and ability to meet occasionally at DIRECTV offices in El Segundo is a plus. #LI-Remote

DIRECTV's compensation structure is designed to be market-competitive and fully supports efforts to attract and retain employees. It is the company's policy to offer pay that is competitive with other employers in the local market. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location.

The Base Salary range displayed below reflects the minimum and maximum target salary for each of DIRECTV's 4 (four) US Labor Market Zones. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. In addition to this base salary, total compensation will include short-term incentives, long-term incentives, 401(k) match, and other elements.

DIRECTV WAGE ZONES: $187,340 - $340,170

Low (N1): $187,340 - $281,010

Mid (N2): $197,200 - $295,800

High (N3): $216,920 - $325,380

Top (N4): $226,780 - $340,170
