Technical Consultant (Benelux)

As a Technical Consultant for the segments Flat Roof Insulation (FRI) and Metal Cladding you provide technical advice (reactively and proactively) at all levels to internal and external clients in the Benelux countries. You represent ROCKWOOL in external technical committees. As a Technical Consultant you provide top level, official technical advice and calculations on behalf of ROCKWOOL Sales Benelux (RWS BNL). You will be reporting to the Manager Public Affairs & Technical Support.

The main responsibilities for you in this challenging, international position are:

• Provides technical advice at all levels to potential or existing clients
• Advises and supports the Specification Sales team and Account Managers at RWS BNL
• Provides technical advice to the Product Managers and shares knowledge of European regulations related to developments, innovation or new concepts
• Represents the interests of mineral wool applications in technical committees and standards committees
• Coordinates external testing related to fire, acoustic or wind issues
• Can read technical drawings and make complex calculations
• Checks all marketing communication (specification documents, product information sheets, website, certificates, reports, etc) on technical content
• Is the technical conscience of the ROCKWOOL Benelux team
• Keeps informed and updated on relevant norms, legal requirements and specifications and advises the internal teams accordingly
• Supports the Sales department at forums, seminars or trade fairs with technical advice or technical presentations
• Writes and maintains specification texts within the Benelux countries.

Your profile:

• Bachelor education like building engineering or other related studies;
• Minimum of 3 years relevant experience in the designated segment (FRI and Metal Cladding);
• Knowledge of relevant legal requirements and regulations within the Benelux countries;
• Excellent communication skills and a strong commercial awareness;
• Fluent in Dutch and French, preferably in English (verbally and written).
• Your work location can be in Roermond, the Netherlands, as well as in Wijnegem, Belgium. Also possible to work from home and be in the office on regularly basis.
