Adjunct Instructor - Economics

Position Details:

This Economics teaching position is part of the faculty within the Business and Information Technology department and reports to the Department Chair. Economics instructors living in Texas who can teach online as well as on campus in Kilgore or Longview are needed.

Responsibilities:

Minimum Qualifications:

• A Master’s degree or higher with a minimum of eighteen graduate hours in Economics is required.
• Candidates must also have at least 18 graduate hours in Economics, or relevant working experience in the course learning outcomes.
• Preference will be given to applicants with college teaching experience.
• Proficient in the use of technology, have a mastery of Economics, and a commitment to excellence in teaching at the college level.
• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to work in a typical classroom/instructional lab environment and get along in a courteous and professional manner with a diverse group of faculty, staff and students.
• Ability to handle high levels of stress.

Salary Range & Fringe Benefits:

• Salary for adjunct faculty members is based upon level of education and range from $1,800 per 3-hour course for a master's degree to $2,000 per 3-hour course for a doctorate.

Positions will remain open until filled. Teaching positions will be required to submit official transcripts upon an offer of employment.
