Job description

Position Details:

This position is part of the teaching faculty within the Business and Information Technology department and reports to the Department Chair. Business Computer Applications instructors that can teach online as well as on campus in Kilgore or Longview are needed

Responsibilities:

This is a part-time faculty position. Responsibilities will include teaching one or more Business Computer Applications courses, developing appropriate course syllabi, and working with students as needed. Courses may be online, face-to-face, or hybrid, and may occur during daytime or evening hours. Adjunct faculty members teach and supervise all learning experiences and evaluate student performance in the classroom.

Minimum Qualifications:

A Master's degree is required, with at least 18 graduate hours in computer science, computer information systems, or business computer applications. Preference will be given to applicants with previous college teaching experience. Applicants must also have demonstrated expertise in office productivity applications, including word processing, spreadsheets, graphic presentations, and databases.

Salary Range & Fringe Benefits:
  • Salary for adjunct faculty members is based upon level of education and range from $1,800 per 3-hour course for a master's degree to $2,000 per 3-hour course for a doctorate.
