At Better Life Partners, we provide what it takes to heal from addiction. Wherever. Whenever.

We focus on bringing high quality, accessible and value-based effective tech-enabled care to those with Addiction Disorders, especially those in communities for whom traditional care has been found lacking. We provide evidence-based, scalable, holistic healthcare while working alongside community-based organizations to ensure that our care is accessible, non-punitive and responsive to our communities. We build trusted relationships and healing spaces to nourish Belonging, Love, and Purpose.

Are you passionate about making a positive impact on people's lives? Do you want to be part of a groundbreaking team that is transforming the field of substance use disorder treatment? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you!

At Better Life Partners, we are revolutionizing the way substance use disorders are treated, and we're looking for highly motivated individuals to join our team as a Contracting and Credentialing Associate. As a Contracting and Credentialing Associate, you will play an essential role ensuring that individuals undergoing treatment for substance use disorders receive care, all from the comfort of your own home.

The role:

We are seeking a Contracting and Credentialing Associate to join BLP’s Contracting and Credentialing team. The Associate will help obtain and submit applications for new fee-for-service contracts, credential providers with health plans and maintain accurate fee schedules. The Associate will collaborate with our RCM and Finance team to help ensure that our contracts are in compliance and up-to-date, and ensure that BLP is appropriately reimbursed for services.

This job is for you if you have a passion for improving health care, thrive in a fast-paced environment, appreciate interacting with different people and roles virtually across multiple states, have a great attention to detail and are diligent about follow-up and follow-through. The job requires a passion for keeping track of complex processes and ensuring things move to completion.

What you will do:

  • Follow up directly with health plans throughout the contracting process until BLP is enrolled as a provider group with the payor
  • Assist with credentialing application follow-up requests which includes directly coordinating with BLP’s credentialing vendor
  • Update credentialing records and assist in maintaining expired records in BLP’s credentialing platform and CAQH
  • Maintain a repository of BLP fee-for-service and value based contracts, addendums, renewal terms, and required notification or due dates
  • Maintain new and existing service locations for all existing contracts
  • Maintain service locations internally within our EHR and Practice Management systems
  • Maintain a common provider directory/database for enrollment with payors (provider roster)
  • Support creating and updating contract summaries per payor in all states for RCM
  • Assist with all contracting, credentialing and fee schedule administration and ad-hoc projects as needed

You are a good fit if you:

  • Have experience supporting payor contracting and credentialing agreements with various insurance companies (Medicaid, MCOs, Medicare, and commercial plans etc.) across various states
  • Are highly organized with acute attention to detail
  • Have an optimistic mindset and are goal oriented
  • Have strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Enjoy working in a fast paced and rapidly changing environment

It will also be great if you are:

  • Knowledgeable in the physical & mental health industry - terminology, regulations, and billing process
  • Have familiarity with CAQH and experience with payor portals
