Our client is seeking a talented and experienced
Freelance Web Designer to join our client's team on a remote, part-time basis.
You will play a key role in designing and updating our client's website, working closely with the internal web team to create compelling digital experiences. Your contributions will directly impact consumer demand for their products by driving both web and store traffic, and your designs will play a pivotal role in enhancing eCommerce sales and creating a cohesive multi-channel experience for audiences. This is an ideal role for a seasoned web designer who is comfortable with the flexibility and dynamic nature of freelance work.
This role offers the flexibility of remote work with a predictable weekly schedule. The work schedule will likely include Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays to align with team meetings.
Responsibilities:
- Design and execute digital assets across various channels, including the company website, email campaigns, digital displays, banner ads, and social media platforms.
- Optimize and update web and digital channel assets based on performance, content calendars, and business needs.
- Collaborate with internal project leads, external agencies, UX/UI designers, graphic designers, and copywriters to ensure on-time delivery and high-quality design outcomes.
- Deliver mobile-first, responsive web designs with multiple breakpoints, accurately sized for front-end implementation.
- Develop and execute animations for promotions and product videos.
- Provide image support, including color correction and other manipulation for product and lifestyle images.
- Ensure all work adheres to brand guidelines and design integrity, while staying updated on the latest web trends and tools.
- Maintain and back up all project files according to systematic processes and procedures.
- Present work to the Creative Director and actively participate in project reviews, brainstorming sessions, and critiques.
Qualifications: - Experience level: Experienced
- Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design or a related field with 3-5 years of relevant web design experience, or equivalent.
- Proficiency in HTML, CSS, and some JavaScript.
- Strong understanding and portfolio evidence of visual layout, composition, and web design fundamentals.
- Experience with accessibility best practices.
- Proven proficiency in Adobe Photoshop, Adobe XD, InDesign, Illustrator, and Microsoft Office applications in a Mac OS environment.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
- Motivated self-starter with a proactive, solution-oriented approach to challenges.
- Ability to manage multiple projects with competing priorities and meet deadlines without compromising quality.
- Preferred Requirements:
- Experience with Adobe Animate and HTML5.
- Previous experience in web design, particularly in eCommerce.
- A portfolio website or online samples that showcase your web design experience.
