Your missions

Garner's mission is to transform the healthcare economy, delivering high quality and affordable care for all. By helping employers restructure their healthcare benefit to provide clear incentives and data-driven insights, we direct employees to higher quality and lower cost healthcare providers. The result is that patients get better health outcomes while doctors are rewarded for practicing well, not performing more procedures. We are backed by top-tier venture capital firms, are growing rapidly and looking to expand our team.

We’re seeking an Event Marketing Manager to evolve our events program by delivering world-class experiences for our audience. You will design owned and industry events that will foster growth and learning for healthcare professionals and set Garner apart from the industry. If you love curating unforgettable moments, have a high bar for quality, and can manage complex projects, then this role is for you. This role is on the Marketing team and reports to the VP of Demand Generation.

Responsibilities will include:
  • Own the end to end planning and execution of all field events, both owned and industry.
  • Oversee marketing plan to promote events using both digital and offline channels.
  • Track the ROI of the events program and report on performance regularly.
  • Develop comprehensive events playbooks, including budgeting, timelines, and logistics.
  • Partner with the content team to support programming or speaking engagements.
  • Build relationships with and manage vendors, associations, venues, suppliers, and other key event partners.
  • Own gifting program for customers, partners, and internal teams.
  • Partner with stakeholders in marketing, sales, and BDR to design effective outreach and follow-up strategies.
Ideal candidate has:
  • 7+ years of experience in events and field marketing or a related field.
  • Proven experience in planning and executing world-class events that generate pipeline.
  • Strong communication skills at every level of the business, with the ability to manage senior stakeholders.
  • Excellent project management skills and systems thinking with the ability to manage multiple timelines in parallel.
  • Exceptional taste in identifying venues and activities.
  • Experience working in a rapidly evolving startup environment
  • A willingness to “roll up your sleeves” and do whatever is necessary to ensure company success
  • A desire to be a part of our mission to improve the U.S. healthcare system
What we look for at Garner:
  • Mission First: Our mission is to transform our healthcare system, delivering high quality and affordable care to all. Everything else is secondary.
  • Expect Extraordinary: Our mission is audacious, so we will only succeed by producing exceptional results. We continually push ourselves and each other to new heights and beyond our comfort zones.
  • Courageous Communication: Transparency and candor are imperative to realizing our potential as an organization and as individuals—even when uncomfortable. Many companies talk about these values. We live them.
  • Supportive community: We know that people do their best work and learn the most when they feel genuinely supported and cared for. It’s also more fun that way.

The target salary range for this position is: $85,000, - $110,000. Individual compensation for this role will depend on a variety of factors including qualifications, skills and applicable laws. In addition to base compensation this role is eligible to participate in our equity incentive and competitive benefits plans.
