Software Engineer (Part-Time)

Summary:

Goldschmitt and Associates is seeking a Senior Software Engineer. This is a remote part-time position. 

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

• Backend design and development in Java using the Spring Boot framework, and Java testing frameworks
• Design and development of REST / RESTful APIs
• Use of AWS Developer tools and AWS Cloud Technology
• Manage User Authentication
• Architecture design and implementation
• Maintain database designs and develop scripts
• Review code to identify any inefficiencies
• Analyze software requirements
• Develop and maintain system design documentation
• Assist with UI design and functionality discussions and testing
• Other job duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications:

• Possess 5+ years of experience with the following:
  • Frameworks: Spring Boot, Hibernate
  • Technologies: RESTful Services, Java 8, Java 17
  • Platforms: AWS, Docker Containers
  • Application Servers: Tomcat
  • Databases: MySQL or other relational databases
  • Tools: Git, Docker, JUnit, JMeter
  • Specifications: Swagger/OpenAPI
  • Processes: CI/CD

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with Apache OpenJPA
• Familiarity with WebSphere and DB2
• Familiarity with GitLab
