Shift Details: FT 40 hours/week

Schedule: Monday-Friday - this position will involve some evenings and potentially, weekend work.

Compensation: $58,000 annual salary

Location: remote after onboarding - travel within Hennepin county

About the job:

Provides mental health services to Hennepin County referred youth (ages 10-21) and their families following the evidence-based Functional Family Therapy (FFT) model, throughout the different stages of treatment. Services are provided in program participants' homes and are geared towards serving youth who are in need of intensive community-based intervention, are at risk or have a history of out-of-home placement, and/or have community justice involvement.

Essentials:

  • Provide in-home or virtual (per family's choice) FFT to selected youth and their families referred by Hennepin County's HHS and DOCCR departments. 
  • Conduct assessment of problems, strengths and needs. 
  • Provide FFT documentation that accurately reflects clinical service consistent with internal and external documentation standards. 
  • Establish therapeutic relationship with program participants for the purpose of reaching appropriate treatment goals. 
  • Maintain a caseload size of 10-11 families.
  • Participate in FFT weekly clinical consultation group. 
  • Seek supervision/FFT consultation as needed to ensure appropriate provision of effective services and to adhere to the FFT model. 
  • Participate in multi-disciplinary case consultation and team meetings. 
  • Communicate mental health information, general and program participant specific, to team mental health professionals, facility staff, referring parties, etc. 
  • Engage in continued learning processes to produce the highest quality of services and expertise needed for the clinic and the organization and to meet appropriate licensure requirements. 
  • Assure program participant and employee privacy is maintained by being knowledgeable and following HIPAA privacy and security regulations. 
  • If not already trained in the FFT model, this position will require 5 days of intensive online live, instructor-led training. 
  • Work will be conducted in client homes, the New Hope office, and confidential home office.
  • Requires driver's license and reliable vehicle.

Required Qualifications: 

  • Masters Degree in Clinical Psychology, Social Work or related field, required
  • Ability to work cross-culturally, required
  • Trained in Functional Family Therapy by a recognized training program, preferred
  • Experience in the delivery of mental health therapy to adolescents and/or families, preferred
  • Bilingual preferred
