The Role

The world’s largest restaurant company is seeking a talented and driven Staff Technical Program Manager to lead Yum!'s scoping and delivery of their next-generation Point of Sale solution. As a Program Manager at Yum!, you will be responsible for executing on one or more large cross-functional restaurant technology initiatives in partnership with our global brand partners within KFC, Taco Bell, Pizza Hut and The Habit Burger Grill.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong program management background related to complex software development, will have successfully managed multi-discipline, software project initiatives, and will have a well-rounded background in modern software development. Experience in continuous process improvement and diverse stakeholder management is key. To be successful, Program Managers at Yum! must be willing to dive in and become experts on the products we’re producing.

Key Responsibilities

Strategy & Planning:


  • Facilitate annual strategic planning efforts in concert with global brand partners.
  • Collaborate with Product and Program Managers and other functional stakeholders to align with key outcomes and anchor milestones.
  • Develop and maintain an integrated program plan to account for both business and technical milestones.
  • Identify and escalate cross-program dependencies and risks to other Program & Product Managers.
  • An ability to take large, complex projects and break them down into manageable pieces.
  • Build, integrate, and maintain reporting for areas of responsibility within existing reporting schemes and mechanisms. Where required, implement new reporting.


Delivery & Execution


  • Take ownership of the program's end to end delivery.
  • Drive action and collaboration across multiple teams to achieve target outcomes.
  • Partner with Product Teams to gather top-level scope and requirements.
  • Capture, track, and provide status on top risks, actions, issues, and dependencies.
  • Anticipate bottlenecks, provide escalation management, anticipate and make trade-offs, and balance the business needs versus technical constraints.
  • Identify key decision points for escalation and maintain decision logs.
  • Proactively provide regular updates to stakeholders and the Yum! Leadership Team.
  • Partner with Product Leaders to deliver on quarterly and annual business review requirements.
  • Be accountable and drive real accountability across the organization.


Qualifications


  • Minimum of 7 years of Technical Program or Project Management or equivalent product experience.
  • Experience with Confluence, Jira, Monday.com, or similar tools.
  • Ability to read system diagrams and technical documents.
  • Strong data analytics chops, comfortable with KPIs and data in general.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Deep experience in stakeholder management, dealing with multiple stakeholders at varied levels of the organization.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.


Salary Range: $­­127,300 to $164,780 annually + bonus eligibility. This is the expected salary range for this position. Ultimately, in determining pay, we'll consider the successful candidate’s location, experience, and other job-related factors.
