Transport Specialist / Dispatcher

Our Client is a well known family business, european leader in the Food Bulk transportation with Italian headquarter and focus on Intermodal. To expand their team for Italy, they’re looking for strong and winning personalities with positive energy, willingness to perform and entrepreneurial spirit who are Italian and English speakers.

The work should be performed from each Candidate’s own residence if in the areas of:

• Venice, Savona, Bari, Varese, Palermo
• Ravenna, Genova, Napoli
  
  

Posizione:

Main tasks:

In the position of a Transport Specialist the selected Candidate will support existing customers and act as their primary point of contact with the Company. After an initial training, in connection with the Transport Manager and the other specialists of the Transport team, each selected Candidate will be fully responsible for the organization and supervision of assigned Italian and European road and intermodal transports in the designated area of responsibilities.

Operational tasks:

• Independent planning and scheduling of land/sea/train transport (round trip/charter);
• Booking of transport services as well as complete handling of organization and support to transport planning activities according to the Company procedures;
• In connection with the Transport Team Manager, Development of customer specific solutions & customer projects.

• Technical required competences:
• Very good Italian and English language skills. German and/or Spanish language skills will be considered a relevant “plus”;
• Having a previous experience in the transport industry, preferably in a Intermodal Dispatcher / Transport Specialist role;
• Graduated school Diploma or completed University education, ideally in the commercial/logistics fields;
• Owning a valid work permit for Italy is a prerequisite for this position.
