About the Role

As a Pricing Associate on our NOAM Insurance team, you will own the pricing integration and financial analysis for our diverse range of insurance products. Ideally, you should be working towards being an Actuary, and be deeply passionate about technology and innovation in product development.

To drive success in this role, your ability to analyze data efficiently, navigate complex insurance programs, and collaborate with both internal teams and external stakeholders is crucial to delivering innovative solutions that satisfy key growth and profitability objectives. As the Pricing Associate you will conduct pricing and performance analysis for Cover Genius's current and upcoming protection offerings, assess financial viability of these products. Regular collaboration with Claims, Integration and Insurance Product Manager teams will be key in ensuring successful  implementations.

What will your day look like? You will...
  • Work closely with the Insurance and Partner Services team to design and implement our unique insurance products.
  • Analyze the database to monitor existing insurance products to optimize pricing structure and segmentation.
  • Provide pricing insights and recommendations to internal and external stakeholders to support business decisions.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of product strategy through pricing to achieve business objectives, with a keen eye towards ensuring rate adequacy and overall underwriting profitability whilst maximizing CG revenue.
  • Support the ongoing underwriting performance monitoring with actuarial techniques and assist in the production of loss ratios and other key insurance metrics for different product / market segments.

  • To help us level up, you'll ideally have:
  • Completion of at least 4 SOA/CAS exams and working towards completion of ASA/ACAS is preferred.
  • At least 1 to 3 years experience working in General Insurance lines of business preferred.
  • Strong technical, analytical and mathematical skills.
  • Advanced SQL and Excel skills, demonstrated by the ability to create complex queries, automate data processes, and perform detailed financial analyses.
  • Programming skills in R and/or Python skills desirable.
  • Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science, Data Science, Statistics or Mathematics.
