Position Title: Spanish Speaking Virtual Medical Assistant (VMA)

Location: Colombia

Position Overview: We are looking for Spanish-speaking Virtual Medical Assistants with experience in healthcare call centers, patient scheduling, and insurance verification. The ideal candidates will have a couple of years of relevant experience and familiarity with Epic software will be considered a significant advantage.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Handle inbound and outbound calls related to patient inquiries, appointments, and follow-ups in Spanish.
  • Schedule patient appointments, ensuring accurate and timely entry of information into the system.
  • Verify patient insurance information, ensuring coverage and eligibility.
  • Assist patients with general inquiries, providing excellent customer service and support.
  • Maintain patient records and update information as necessary.
  • Collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure seamless patient care coordination.
  • Adhere to all privacy and confidentiality guidelines and regulations.
  • Utilize Epic software for patient management, if applicable.
  • Participate in ongoing training and development sessions to stay updated with industry best practices.

Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Fluency in Spanish (both written and spoken) is mandatory.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a healthcare call center, patient scheduling, or insurance verification role.
  • Familiarity with Epic software is a significant plus.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficient in using computers and common office software (e.g., Microsoft Office).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of medical terminology and healthcare procedures.
  • Customer service-oriented mindset with the ability to handle challenging situations calmly and effectively.
