Role Description

The Compliance Manager is responsible for supporting all aspects of the compliance program. As a Compliance Manager you will serve as subject matter resource and support our team and external partners. You will monitor changes to laws and regulations to ensure compliance with State and Federal regulations. This role will report to COO and be a partner in taking the existing program to the next level. 

What You'll Do:

  • Serve as the subject matter expert on various regulatory requirements 
  • Responsibility for supporting the planning, continued implementation and ongoing effectiveness of the Compliance Program for the company
  • Encompass developing, updating, reviewing and implementing processes and policies designed to ensure compliance with Federal and state healthcare program requirements and other regulations that are applicable to our company
  • Establish effective working relationships and build credibility internally to support a continued and scalable culture of ethics and compliance
  • Partner with company legal counsel and various departments on matters, as appropriate
  • Build relationships that encourage team members, leadership and contractors to report suspected security issues or other improprieties without the fear of retaliation
  • Monitor and track compliance trends impacting the industry and partners 
  • Develop/maintain product, regulatory, and operational knowledge for assigned businesses, with particular focus on provider practice standards and regulatory requirements
  • Support the delivery of targeted compliance training and communications for users
  • Conduct and review security assessments as appropriate

What’s Required:

  • Deep knowledge of health-care regulations such as HIPAA or 42 CFR Part 2 and other regulations both at the federal and state level
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and to manage multiple tasks and responsibilities
  • Demonstrated ability to work well with others, understand process flows and correlating platforms, recommend options and implement solutions
  • Strong at communications- experience preparing and delivering information to multiple audiences
  • Planning, organization, and implementation skills - experience managing multiple concurrent initiatives

Education and Experience:

  • 3+ years of experience 
  • Experience in the healthcare industry
  • Experience working with healthcare professional (nurses, doctors, social workers, case managers, etc)
  • Experience in health tech or product development
