Job description

We are seeking a remote Senior Technical Consultant with expertise in ServiceNow OMT and TSOM applications. The ideal candidate will possess comprehensive knowledge of ServiceNow’s capabilities, offerings, configuration, and customization.

The Senior Technical Consultant will be the functional and technical expert of our customer engagement team. You will consult with customers, configure the ServiceNow IT Operations Management products (Discovery, Service Mapping, Event Management, etc.), and ServiceNow Order Management (PPM and FSM) based on best practices. Your goal will be to accelerate and drive customer business outcomes.

What You Will Do in This Role:

  • Be the technical expert in supporting telecom companies by configuring IT Operations Management Service Delivery using ServiceNow best practices focused on configuration rather than customization.
  • Hands-on configuration and customization of the ServiceNow platform.
  • Experience with MID Server integrations.
  • Support telecom engagements by defining, re-engineering, improving, and analyzing current and future-state processes during workshops with key customer sponsors and stakeholders.
  • Advise customers on leveraging ServiceNow IT Operations Management solutions to enhance their IT processes.
  • Lead customer design workshops focused on ServiceNow Platform and IT Operations Management solutions.
  • Guide customers in completing required documentation, such as business requirement workbooks, for technical aspects of the solution.
  • Provide ad-hoc oversight and training for customers’ future system administrators throughout engagements.
  • Lead technical aspects of project delivery, sometimes overseeing and unit testing partner resource development.
  • Be a lead member of overall engagement project teams, ensuring successful and substantive customer outcomes.
  • Prepare all customer-facing deliverables focused on technology and ensure the quality of configured/developed solutions.
  • Manage multiple and complex projects/initiatives.
  • Promote continuous improvement practices for delivery/engagement materials.
  • Provide training and mentoring to other members of the delivery team.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you should have strong technical understanding and experience in one or more of the following areas:

  • Proven experience as a senior implementer of ServiceNow solutions.
  • ServiceNow certifications are a MUST (Certified System Administrator, Certified Implementation Specialist, etc.).
  • In-depth knowledge of Order Management for Telecom (OMT), Telecom Network Inventory, CMDB, Telecom Service Management (TSM), and Telecom Service Operations Management (TSOM).
  • Strong understanding of OSS technologies, including orchestration, integration, APIs, network management, fault management, and performance management.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages such as PowerShell, Perl, WMI, SSH, Python, JavaScript, and XPath.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence and consult on key technical decisions during project delivery.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, customer-centric attitude, and ability to deal with cultural diversity.
  • Proven team player and team builder.
  • Degree or equivalent, preferably in Information Technology, with proven experience in technical consulting roles.
