ERM is seeking an experienced Senior Safety Data Sheet (SDS) Author with Lisam Software Proficiency and Chemical Regulatory Expertise to join our Sustainable Products and Supply Chain team as Senior Chemical Regulatory Consultant.

ERM has a very well established Product Stewardship Team that is globally connected and focused on assisting our clients to responsibly manage the health, safety, and environmental aspects of raw materials, intermediate, and consumer products throughout their lifecycle and across their value chain. This team delivers critical regulatory and technical support to clients operating across industry, but especially in the Chemicals, Crop Protection and Biocides sectors.

Role profile

The Senior Consultant will be responsible for managing the relationship and coordination and delivery of tasks related to the spin off from a major client HQ’d in Germany. Main responsibilities are (not limited to):

Classification and labelling of industrial chemical substances, Safety Data Sheet Authoring / Hazard Communication using Lisam /SAP Software.

  • Industrial hygiene / exposure assessment/ global chemical inventory analysis
  • Act as an advisor to our client on all relevant technical and regulatory product issues; the Senior Consultant will also plan and conduct workshops in close cooperation with the client
  • Actively involved in client relationship development through project discussions and demonstrating credibility
  • Support the business development activities and proposal writing

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemistry / Chemical Engineering or relevant environmental science or environmental engineering degree

  • At least 5 years experience in SDS authoring using Lisam/SAP software, relevant project regulatory experience and have strong project and task management skills
  • Ability to work closely with other ERM experts to maintain awareness of projects and general issues
  • Possess strong written, verbal communication and data presentation skills in German and English
  • Attend project meetings with Clients, represent ERM at conferences and participate in expert groups relevant to expert area, as appropriate
  • Ability to multi-task, maintain flexibility, and work independently
  • Knowledge of best practices and trends in regulatory management
