Overview:

The HR Business Partner for Corporate Clubs will be responsible for partnering with assigned client groups to provide strategic, high-level and consultative HR support and counsel to the business.  This role will partner with the clubs and field leaders to best understand the key business needs and design strategies to help best support the business operations from a talent perspective.

 

Primary responsibilities to include: Talent Management, Performance Management, Engagement, Compliance, educate on company policies, conducting investigations, facilitate trainings, and managing employee relation’s matters in a timely fashion.

Responsibilities:
  • Act as a strategic partner to the business by proactively providing talent strategy and employee relations guidance. 
  • Conduct regular touch bases with field leaders to foster a trusting relationship, understand business climate & needs, and deliver a value-added support. 
  • Identify, drive, and support change management needs by acting as a Subject Matter Expert.
  • Drive talent initiatives.
  • Promote and inspire a culture of engaged team members to increase productivity, reinforce a positive work environment, and retention.
  • Provide coaching to multiple levels within the corporate clubs organization. 
  • Drive high-level annual performance review process, as well as provide day-to-day performance management (coaching, counseling, disciplinary actions and career development) provoking positive performance improvement. 
  • Guide and support talent development/IDPs for various levels of club and field leadership.
  • Manage and resolve employee relations issues through effective and thorough investigations. 
  • Analyze HR trends and metrics in partnership with field leaders and COEs to identify opportunities for action and to drive improvement.
  • Provide HR policy guidance and ensure consistent interpretation.  Stay abreast of industry trends and legislative changes to mitigate risks, and maintain legal compliance.
  • Travel to remote markets and tour clubs with Directors and Regional Managers to understand the club environment and build trusting relationships.
  • Partner with Regional Managers and Club Managers to drive staffing levels that meet company goals.
  • Drive meaningful hiring and onboarding practices that reduce turnover and enhance the overall experience.
  • Develop and execute training programs that enhance a team members' skills and knowledge, as well as develop leadership skills. 
Qualifications:
  • BS/BA degree in Human Resources or Business, or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in Human Resources with 3+ years of relevant HR Business Partner experience
  • Professional HR Certification is highly desirable. 
  • Solid understanding of employment laws and their impact on people and the business
  • Strong understanding and practical experience in the areas of hiring, onboarding, employee engagement, employee relations, talent management and performance management
  • Strong background supporting employee relations. Comfortable handling difficult conversations, asking challenging questions, and acting as a facilitator for resolving conflicts between parties and getting to a place of understanding and agreement
  • Extremely detail-oriented, efficient, and organized with an exceptional ability to establish priorities and objectives
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills along with the ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the organization
  • Able to establish and maintain effective, collaborative work relationships with diverse individuals, internally and externally
  • Creative, progressive, thought leadership with the ability to influence at all levels of the organization
  • Dedicated learner with a natural curiosity for consistent growth
