Job Description:

CRDENTIALING COORDINATOR

After sufficient training onsite in Boston, MA (approximately 90 days), position can be remote.

Job Description:

Facilitates and performs the day-to-day functions within the Medical Staff Office related to the credentialing, reappointment and privileging process.  Responsible for ensuring applications are complete and processed on time according to the specifications defined in the Medical Staff Bylaws, Joint Commission standards, and all regulatory body requirements.

Facilitates the day-to-day exchange of information with the credentials verification organization (CVO) concerning the collection and verification of information required for medical and allied health staff applications.

Maintains current knowledge and expertise related to credentialing and of applicable federal and state rules and regulations and Joint Commission and National Council Quality Committee for Quality Assurance standards.

Participates in the completion of the Periodic Performance Review of the Medical Staff by The Joint Commission. Develops and implement action plans to resolve areas identified as non-compliant.

Responsible for credentialing data base accuracy. Proficient in the ability to create, edit and generate statistics reports.

Audits applications for processing according to specifications described in the Medical Staff Bylaws, and manages expirable documents (such as licenses, DEA, malpractice coverage and certifications remain current). 

Assists with NEBCIO/BIDCO enrollment requirements, including application management, joinder agreements, and any other related tracking and implementation services.

Provides administrative support to medical staff as needed for monthly annual and/or special meetings.

Qualifications:

High School Diploma or Equivalent required. Associate's Degree/Bachelor's Degree required or Equivalent credentialing training and/or experience .

1-3 years experience in Credentialing required.
