We are now looking for an Experienced Senior Consultant to join us to support our Cyber Advisory to help grow and develop the advisory side of the business.

Job Description

As a Senior Consultant, you will play a critical role in providing strategic guidance, advisory and consulting services to our clients, helping them navigate complex cyber security challenges.

This role places a substantial emphasis on business development, alongside significant responsibilities in client delivery and internal capability development.

You will be a key player in driving the growth through collaboration with our sales team and other internal stakeholders.

 

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Growth:

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities to expand our client base.
  • Develop and execute a strategic plan for growth in the cyber advisory sector.
  • Collaborate with the sales and marketing teams to create compelling proposals and presentations for potential clients.

Client Relationship Management:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders in target industries.
  • Conduct market research to identify trends, threats, and opportunities within the cyber security landscape.
  • Attend industry events, conferences, and seminars to network and promote our services.

Thought Leadership:

  • Contribute to the development of thought leadership materials, including white papers, articles, and blog posts.
  • Present at conferences and webinars to establish the firm as a leader in the cyber advisory space.
  • Stay abreast of industry developments and integrate emerging trends into business development strategies.

Revenue Generation:

  • Develop and manage a pipeline of potential clients, ensuring a steady flow of new business.
  • Negotiate and close deals, ensuring mutually beneficial terms for both the client and our organisation.
  • Track and report on business development activities and outcomes, providing regular updates to senior management.

Strategic Advisory:

  • Function as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders, providing expert guidance on cyber security strategies and solutions.
  • Navigate and manage ambiguity to deliver clear and actionable recommendations.
  • Build long-term relationships with clients, positioning yourself as their go-to expert for cyber security matters.

Solution Development:

  • Collaborate with clients to understand their unique challenges and develop tailored cyber security solutions.
  • Employ a consultative approach to identify and address clients' pain points, going beyond standard audits.
  • Facilitate workshops and brainstorming sessions to co-create innovative security strategies and frameworks.

Project Leadership:

  • Lead and manage multiple cyber security projects, ensuring timely delivery and high-quality outcomes.
  • Develop comprehensive project plans, including timelines, resource allocation, and risk management.
  • Coordinate with internal teams and external partners (where necessary) to deliver cohesive and effective solutions.

Training and Awareness:

Design and deliver cyber security training programs and workshops for clients.

  • Enhance clients' understanding of cyber threats and the importance of robust security practices.
  • Foster a culture of security awareness within client organisations.

Team Leadership:

  • Mentor and develop junior consultants, providing guidance and support to enhance their skills and career growth.
  • Lead internal training sessions to share knowledge and best practices within the team.
  • Foster a collaborative and innovative team environment.

Continuous Improvement:

  • Responsible for leading the wider technical teams towards a better consultative approach, ensuring that all technical engagements are aligned with the organisations consulting standards and practices.
  • Continuously improve internal methodologies, tools, and processes to enhance service delivery.
  • Implement best practices in project management and client engagement to ensure efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Encourage the adoption of innovative technologies and techniques to stay ahead of industry trends.

Proposition Development:

  • Develop and refine unique cyber security propositions to differentiate our organisation from competitors.
  • Collaborate with marketing and sales teams to package and promote these propositions to the market.
  • Analyse competitor offerings and industry trends to ensure our propositions remain innovative and relevant.

Knowledge Management:

  • Develop and maintain a repository of cyber security knowledge, resources, and case studies.
  • Encourage knowledge sharing and collaboration across the organisation.
  • Lead efforts to standardise and document consulting practices and procedures.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field an advantage.
  • Deep understanding of cyber regulations and standards (E.g. NIST, ISO, PCI, DORA etc).
  • Professional certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CISA, or similar an advantage.
  • Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in cyber security, with a strong focus on both advisory and consulting roles.
  • Proven track record in business development and client relationship management.
  • Strong project management skills with experience leading complex cyber security projects.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and people skills.
  • Deep understanding of cyber security principles, technologies, and regulatory requirements.
  • Must have or be able to obtain and hold relevant security clearance.
