Your missions

Position: Full-Time Audience Team Intern

Location: Remote (Must be based in NY, NJ, CT, DC, VA, MD Tristate Areas)

Duration: Six months, starting July 2024

Compensation: $17 - $19 per hour

We are excited to announce an opportunity for a dedicated and enthusiastic full-time intern to join our dynamic audience team. This is a remote position; however, candidates must be based in the New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, or District of Columbia, Virginia, Maryland tristate areas.

Role And Responsibilities

As an intern, you will report directly to the Director of Engagement and play a crucial role in enhancing our reach and engagement. Your key responsibilities will include:

Social Media Management: Schedule and curate posts for our journalism on various platforms, including X/Twitter, Instagram, Threads, and Substack.

Data Analytics: Collect and analyze data from analytics tools to identify actionable insights.

Trend Monitoring: Keep an eye on social media trends within the publishing industry and suggest tactics to help us reach a broader audience.

Ideal Candidate

We are looking for someone who:

Pays close attention to detail and has strong writing skills.

Shows initiative and a proactive approach to their work.

Has experience or familiarity with journalism or marketing (preferred but not required).

Understands content marketing best practices.
