Beckman Coulter Life Science is seeking a talented & dynamic individual to fill the position of DBS Leader as part of the global Fundamentals Domain team Partnering with executive leaders supporting multiple organizations. This is an exciting opportunity to join a fast-growing organization. The DBS Leader is responsible for utilizing the Danaher Business System (DBS) to drive process improvements and rapid, effective mitigation of problems/issues. Then read on!

We are currently seeking a DBS leader who will be responsible for utilizing the Danaher Business System (DBS) to drive process improvements and rapid, effective mitigation of problems/issues.  Support Beckman Coulter Life Sciences business functions in developing and achieving objectives. Drive ever-improving results by leveraging DBS tools, consulting skills, and change management process.

This position will be a REMOTE type role with travel and remote work included.

In this role, you will be responsible for:

  • Partner with fundamental domain organization(s) leaders to meet business objectives and improve functional efficiency, productivity, and growth.
  • Provide coaching and guidance in the implementation of DBS processes and tools.  Also, monitor and assess current performance to identify and assess opportunities for performance and process improvements.  Evolve and apply tools as appropriate to drive results.  Benchmark and incorporate best practices for functional organizations.
  • Lead cross-functional, cross-regional teams effectively and drive results.  Facilitate training and Kaizens as appropriate.  Proactively lead complex root cause/countermeasure resolution of issues.
  • Ensure high DBS penetration throughout the fundamental organizations functions through productive kaizen events and seamless integration to Daily Management (DM)
  • Strengthen DBS maturity by ensuring annual DBS plan deployment, training, and mentoring Certified practitioners. Partner with Site/functional DBSL as appropriate

The required qualifications for the job include:

  • Bachelor’s degree required and preference for 9+ years of experience or MS degree and preference for 7+ years of experience in the field of Business, Science, or Engineering.
  • Mastery of a variety of DBS tools including Problem Solving Process, Transactional Process Improvement, and/or Daily Management.
  • Ability to accurately assess key business metrics and with a broad system level view.
  • Hands-on and detail-oriented but also able to see the big picture. Think strategically with strong process orientation.
  • Customer focused, strong interpersonal, and communications skills. Superior training skills as well as demonstrated strong consulting/influencing skills.
  • Proven ability to influence and make changes. While building good relations with the teams through personal commitment and trust.

 It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

  • Prefer 2+ years of Lean Continuous Process Improvement experience.
  • Certified Practitioner (CP) Certification in DBS Fundamentals with lean principles.
  • Previous experience in Life Science field.

Up to 20% domestic and international travel required (post-immersion.)

The salary range for this role is $120,000 - $135,000. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future.

This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay.
