High School Diploma or equivalent and graduate from an accredited physical therapy assistant program, Graduate from an accredited Speech Language Pathologist program AND Master’s degree in Speech Language Pathologist, Graduate from an accredited physical therapy program AND Bachelors, Masters or Doctoral Degree in Physical Therapy, Current licensure as a physical therapy assistant in the state of Georgia, Current licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist in the state of Georgia, Current licensure as a physical therapist in the state of Georgia, 2 years of acute care and/or ICU experience, 2 years of Acute and/or Inpatient Rehab experience, Critical thinking skills, Computer skills including familiarity with databases.

Our Physical Therapists, Physical Therapy Assistants and Speech Pathologist Therapists are given the opportunity for flexible self-scheduling while working in an assigned region of 3 facilities. We currently have Full-Time Day shift positions available in all regions. We have Seasonal Opportunities!

Apply to this position to be considered for Full-Time Float Team opportunities throughout Wellstar! We have 8 hospitals and our Float Team is required to float in a specific region listed below. 

 

Region 1 North: Kennestone, Windy Hill, and North Fulton Hospitals

Region 2 Central: Cobb, Paulding, and Douglas Hospitals

Region 3 South: Spalding, Sylvan Grove, and West Georgia Hospitals

 

Our Wellstar Enterprise Support Team (W.E.S.T.) is our internal Float Team of nursing professionals, which support various hospitals within the organization. We are seeking experienced, high-performance, professional nurses to join our team. Required Minimum Education:

  • (PTA) High School Diploma or equivalent and graduate from an accredited physical therapy assistant program
  • (SLP) Graduate from an accredited Speech Language Pathologist program AND Master’s degree in Speech Language Pathologist
  • (PT)Graduate from an accredited physical therapy program AND Bachelors, Masters or Doctoral Degree in Physical Therapy

Required Minimum Certification:

  • (PTA) Current licensure as a physical therapy assistant in the state of Georgia. Must have a current BLS certification from the American Heart Association on the first day of employment.
  • (SLP) Current licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist in the state of Georgia
  • (PT) Current licensure as a physical therapist in the state of Georgia
  • BLS certification is required at time of hire
  • A valid Georgia Driver’s license is required and private vehicle insurance. 

Required Minimum Experience:

  • 2 years of acute care and/or ICU experience
  • (PT) 2 years of Acute and/or Inpatient Rehab experience

Required Minimum Skills:

  • Ability to communicate well, critical thinking skills, establish and maintain working relations with physicians and other health care personnel, and computer skills including familiarity with databases
