Role:
The Donor Relations Assistant provides support throughout the Foundation in the areas of database management, constituent data input, daily cash deposits, word processing, special events, and customer service. Working collaboratively with the Development and Foundation staff members, the Donor Relations Assistant performs research in an effort to identify and provide quality donor relations leads.
Qualifications:
• Associate’s degree with Bachelor’s degree preferred or an equivalent combination of education and work experience
• Minimum of one (1) to three (3) years of general office experience
• Computer proficiency in working with a database applications (preferably BlackBaud), Microsoft Office software, online fundraising applications, and experience working in a Windows-based environment
• Excellent interpersonal and communication (written and verbal) skills; ability to interact professionally and tactfully with co-workers, donors and prospects
• Detail oriented and highly organized with the ability to effectively manage many tasks simultaneously
• Ability to work with limited supervision

Job Responsibilities:
• Working with Foundation staff, provides research on patient/families throughout the Company’s operational footprint to generate quality fundraising leads.
• Working with Foundation partners, ensures the entering and processing of donor gifts, honor/memorials, and acknowledgements are achieved within twenty-four (24) hours of receipt.
• Working with Foundation partners, ensures the data input, reporting, and integrity of constituent information/records surpasses a 95% accuracy rate.
• Working with field staff, cultivates grass roots relationships through educational communication with our market staff members and caregivers at the house and patient levels.
• Maintains all coding and accounting funds within the fundraising database.
• Leverages the full capacity of the Foundation’s database to create, manage, and produce letters, support internal and external campaign development, and export reports.
• Monitors and adheres to Department and CRM policies and procedures governing gift processing and data entry.
• Manages and perpetually refines the gift acknowledgment process to create, merge, and mail acknowledgment letters; sends gift receipts and correspondence for donations and memorials in the most meaningful and timely manner. Prepares and sends thank-you letters to donors including families who list the Company and/or its affiliates in newspaper obituary listings.
• Accurately processes daily deposits, balances to receipts log, and delivers all receipts to accounting.
• Provides customer service to donors and families by accepting all calls related to making donations, questions, or problems; meets with walk-in donors and families; makes outgoing calls to donors and families; assists with special events.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
