About This Location: 

Our Home Office is located in the heart of Bloor West Village in Toronto, just steps away from Jane Subway station. This role is a hybrid remote position. Hours of work may vary depending on business needs.

About This Role: 

Reporting to the Director, Software Development and Integration, The Dynamics 365 Solution Architect will partner with development and network operations teams to plan database storage and architecture be it in the cloud or on premises, adhering to deployment best practices in an enterprise level production environment. This pivotal role encompasses all stages of solutioning from strategy to design to deployment, release, and future ongoing enhancements. The role will be responsible for developing and implementing an overall Dynamics 365 design approach that compliments Arbor’s business processes and establishes an innovative platform which Arbor can leverage for future innovations.

 

Key Qualifications and Demonstrated Abilities: 

  • Extensive and demonstrated hands on experience leading successful Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance and Ops implementations from conception to implementation stages is critical. 
  • Proven, considerable hands-on experience providing solutions, configuring modules for optimal design and analytics, testing and quality assurance, data integrity and security, identifying data discrepancies & security related issues.
  • Exhibit clear understanding of physical, logical, and external levels of ERP solutioning.
  • Sound consulting, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Sound understanding of Azure technologies will be a nice to have when solutioning integrations with the help of Application and Data architects.
  • Strong interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills, including copywriting.
  • Excellent documentation and project management skills with demonstrated ability to organize, prioritize, manage, and deliver multiple demands.
  • Self-motivated team player with a keen attention to detail.

Responsibilities: 

  • Document and architect solutions be it for configuring the out of the box modules to our advantage or using an existing functionality within D365 ERP differently to achieve company’s objective of an effectively successful implementation.
  • Developing and implementing an overall Dynamics 365 design approach that compliments Arbor’s business processes and establishes an innovative platform which Arbor can leverage for future innovations.
  • Help articulate and visualize the big picture for our project sponsors. 
  • Contribute to the long term strategic plans. 
  • Help Project teams establish realistic plans.
  • Provide end-to-end solutions (or verify solutions offered by implementation partners) to address business challenges / use case in collaboration with application architect and data architect as necessary, leveraging the in-depth knowledge of F&O and other D365 modules. 
  • Ensuring ideal design, only allowing necessary customizations within or outside of D365 environment.
  • Establish best practices for data migration, keeping in mind go live challenges and timelines specifically for Arbor.
  • Master data management, X++ development, development of workspaces-based analytics / Power BI analytics, SSRS reports, Development and deployment practices, code release pipelines, release patching and testing strategies. 
  • Establish testing and training plans in collaboration with the test lead, Project managers and our ERP implementation partner.
  • Develop data models, document dataflow diagrams and entity relationship diagrams, build models for users to consume using BI tools like Power BI and Tableau or others as Arbor users adopt them.
  • Developing and implementing an overall Dynamics 365 design approach that compliments Arbor’s business processes and establishes an innovative platform which Arbor can leverage for future innovations
  • Implementing D365 Finance and Supply chain Operations ERP to modernize it’s core business applications and leverage additional functionality like inventory management, product release, purchase order management among others. The important aspects of Dynamics 365 relevant to Arbor are Finance, inventory, forecasting, product management, sales order processing, sales and marketing, retail and commerce among others.
  • Establish governance and security models in collaboration with peer Architects and enterprise security team so it can be offered as a guideline to Business Analysts while collecting requirements.
  • Limited travel within Canada may be required.
  • Other duties as required.
