Staff Consultant

• Work closely with the UX Designers and Front-End Engineers to maintain our comprehensive design system across the different business areas.
• Collaborate with Engineers to ensure consistency across both design and development libraries.
• Design and maintain components, patterns, and design standards to ensure consistency and usability across all digital platforms.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including UX Design, Product, and Engineering, to ensure that the design system supports their needs.
• Lead workshops to gather design system requirements and prioritise needs.
• Conduct regular design system audits to ensure that the system is up-to-date, accurate, and effective.
• Design, prototype, and document interaction patterns that will be easily understood by designers, engineers and other stakeholders.
• Create and maintain design system documentation, including guidelines, design principles, and component libraries.
• Promote the use of the design system across the organization and educate team members on its benefits and usage.
• Keep up-to-date with industry trends and emerging design system practices to ensure that the organisation's design system remains current and effective.
• Provide Visual Design support to UX Designers where required.

• A minimum of 4 years of experience with design systems for large and diverse teams in a fast-paced environment.
• Degree in Design, Computer Science, or a related field, or relevant experience where a formal qualification isn’t available.
• A Design System expert and advocate.
• Solid understanding of design principles, user experience, user interface design and accessibility.
• Expert knowledge of Figma, including shared libraries, prototyping etc.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Amenable to work 1pm-10pm, Monday to Friday
