Master’s degree preferred., 5+ years of experience in conservation planning and science, or equivalent combination of education/experience., Strong project management, interpersonal communication, and grant writing skills., Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Understanding public policy connection to conservation outcomes., Valid Driver’s License, ability to travel throughout Great Lakes region, flexibility to work evenings/weekends..
Key responsabilities:
- Develop formal structure for engaging with JV Midwest Marsh Bird Working Group.
- Lead the development of tools and metrics for evaluating marsh bird conservation actions.
- Coordinate grants/funding, support partners in securing projects for marsh bird conservation.
- Participate in integration efforts, compile and distribute information on marsh bird knowledge.
- Utilize communication and outreach tools, manage monitoring programs in defined geographies.
