Lead Bioinformatics Scientist

We are seeking a driven and professional leader, with significant Bioinformatics experience to strengthen our scientific function and play a pivotal role in developing and implementing bioinformatic solutions whilst closely supporting internal functions in diverse global cross collaboration.
You will have experience in academia and/or in industry setting, with an open and honest approach, enjoy developing and mentoring others to enhance their skills and promote a culture of excellence.

Essential Experience and Skills

• Strong programming skills and experience with at least one programming languages, such as Python, R, etc.
• Familiarity with next-generation sequencing technologies
• Experience with data analysis and visualization of next-generation sequencing data and large datasets
• Familiarity with common bioinformatics pipelines and data formats
• Solid understanding of statistical and biological concepts
• Experience with Unix/Linux environments, including shell scripting and High Performance Computing (HPC) cluster usage
• Experience in designing or architecting automated workflows (desirable)
• Strong effective communication skills driven by collaborating with a diverse network

Education requirements:
Masters/PhD in :

• bioinformatics,
• computer science,
• data science,
• engineering,
• mathematics
• or equivalent
