Your missions

DealMaker is a fast-growing fintech company revolutionizing the capital markets ecosystem with a mission to make online capital raising mainstream. We empower founders, CEOs, and operators to raise capital digitally, both from their own communities and through strategically marketed campaigns. No other platform provides an end-to-end solution like ours—and our track record speaks for itself, with over $2B raised across 1,000+ campaigns. We power the largest online capital raises for customers like the Green Bay Packers ($65M), Miso Robotics ($72M+), Monogram Orthopaedics (Nasdaq:MGRM) and many others, with 3 IPOs in the past year alone. We are quickly expanding our horizons and are seeking talented team members to join us on our journey to transform the global capital markets.

Who are you?
You are a passionate and pragmatic engineering leader with a builder’s heart and a deep commitment to developer experience. You are driven to create a seamless, efficient, and secure development environment where engineers can thrive. You are excited to lead and mentor a growing team while also contributing your technical expertise as an individual contributor.

How will you create impact?
As the Director of Infrastructure and DevSecOps at DealMaker, you will be the strategic leader and champion of our security posture and quality assurance practices. You will guide the DevSecOps team in building a robust and scalable infrastructure that empowers developers to deliver secure and high-quality software at speed. Your impact will be felt through:

Building a Robust and Scalable Infrastructure: You will guide the design, implementation, and management of DealMaker’s cloud infrastructure, ensuring it is secure, compliant, and optimized for developer workflows. You will leverage infrastructure as code (IaC), automation, and cutting-edge technologies to achieve maximum efficiency and reliability.
Establishing a Security-First Culture: You will champion a culture of security awareness and responsibility across the engineering organization, working closely with development teams to seamlessly integrate security practices into every stage of the software development lifecycle.
Leading the DevSecOps Team to Success: You will build and lead a high-performing DevSecOps team, mentoring and inspiring them to achieve ambitious goals. You will foster a collaborative environment where team members can grow their skills and contribute to DealMaker's security and quality mission.
Driving Automated Quality Assurance: You will champion the integration of automated QA practices into the CI/CD pipeline, ensuring that code quality and functional correctness are validated continuously throughout the development process.

You Will:
- Define and execute DealMaker's DevSecOps strategy, aligning with the company's overall business goals and security and quality objectives.
- Collaborate closely with development teams to integrate security best practices into CI/CD pipelines, development workflows, and application design.
- Champion the adoption of security and QA automation tools to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
- Define and implement a comprehensive automated QA strategy, including unit testing, integration testing, and end-to-end testing.
- Design and implement security controls, policies, and procedures across the development infrastructure and application stack.
- Oversee security monitoring, incident response, and vulnerability management programs.
- Select and integrate appropriate QA automation tools and frameworks into the CI/CD pipeline.
- Stay abreast of emerging security threats and technologies, ensuring DealMaker's infrastructure and applications remain secure in a constantly evolving landscape.
- Recruit, mentor, and develop a high-performing DevSecOps team.

What you should have:
Deep DevSecOps Expertise: A strong understanding of DevSecOps principles, practices, and tools, with a proven track record of implementing successful security initiatives in a fast-paced, agile environment.
Leadership & Team Building: Demonstrated experience building and leading high-performing infrastructure teams, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
Cloud Infrastructure & Security: Extensive knowledge of cloud security best practices, cloud infrastructure design, and hands-on experience with cloud platforms like AWS, GCP, or Azure.
Security Automation & Tooling: Familiarity with security automation tools, vulnerability scanners, security information and event management (SIEM) systems, and other security technologies used in a DevSecOps environment.
Communication & Collaboration: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex security concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Experience with QA Automation: A solid understanding of QA automation principles, frameworks, and tools, and experience in building and managing automated testing processes.
