Job Summary: The Revenue Cycle Confirmation Specialist - Professional Billing will be responsible for verifying and ensuring the accuracy of professional billing processes, specifically focusing on charge review work queues (WQs). This role is essential for maintaining revenue integrity and compliance during the stabilization period post-Epic implementation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Verify the accuracy of professional billing processes, focusing on charge review work queues (WQs).
  
• Collaborate with professional billing departments to ensure comprehensive and accurate data capture.
  
• Perform audits to ensure compliance with established professional billing protocols.
  
• Identify and rectify discrepancies in professional billing data.
  
• Provide support and guidance to billing staff regarding professional billing processes and best practices.
  
• Liaise with IT and Epic implementation teams to address system-related issues affecting professional billing.
  
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of Epic applications and professional billing methodologies.
  
• Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
  

Requirements

Requirements

Qualifications:

• Extensive experience in professional billing with a focus on charge review work queues (WQs).
  
• Certified Professional Coder (CPC) or Certified Coding Specialist - Physician-based (CCS-P) preferred.
  
• Familiarity with Epic applications and healthcare billing management.
  
• Strong understanding of the processes for professional billing and compliance.
  
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  
• Effective communication and collaboration abilities.
  
• Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and compliance.
  

Preferred Qualifications:

• Advanced certifications in healthcare billing or revenue cycle management.
  
• Previous experience in a similar role during an Epic implementation.
  

Work Conditions:

• Primarily remote with approximately 25% onsite travel required during the initial stabilization period post-go-live.
  
• Full-time, contract position with potential for extension based on performance and hospital needs.
