Job Description Summary
Reporting to the Global Head of Product Marketing for the Manufacturing business segment, you will work as an integral part of our global Product Marketing team that manages the launch and demand generation for new and innovative software products and services solutions to the industrial manufacturing and key infrastructure market. The Product Marketing Manager will develop and execute global go-to-market strategies that connect our industry-leading products with their ideal customers, drive global marketing campaigns, and enable tactical and strategic selling.
You’ll create differentiated positioning and messaging, and compelling content to support marketing and sales by working with customers, deep subject matter experts across the business unit, and key industry influencers. Product Marketing is the glue that binds product strategy to the tactics needed to drive success in sales and marketing and a key driver of business results. You will focus on the global success of select products or product line(s), working closely with product managers to bring new capabilities to market and ensure their long-term success. You’ll equally focus on working closely with industry leads and demand generation to drive pipeline and achieve revenue targets.
Job Description
Essential Responsibilities:
Work closely with product management to understand product strategies and roadmaps. Plan new product/capability launches and drive the cross-functional implementation of those plans to achieve desired business outcomes.
Create simple, straightforward and differentiated positioning that resonates with our target buyer personas (incorporating customer-focused and SEO-optimized language) and sets our products apart from alternatives. Build and tell a compelling story across all internal and external, marketing and sales channels. Create thought leadership content and evangelize the solution.
Build and maintain market knowledge. Track industry trends, processes, challenges, and opportunities. Identify competitive solutions' strengths and weaknesses.
Target and champion buyers. Define best fit target audiences, understand personas, their challenges, how they buy and their key buying criteria.
Contribute to the creation of go to market strategies, marketing plans and sales plays. Manage execution through marketing, solution consultants and sales enablement. Create supporting content, enablement tools, playbooks, customer facing positioning presentations, strategy and vision decks. Track and analyze results of all initiatives.
Work closely with industry marketing and regional teams to tailor positioning, messaging, collateral and programs for their unique challenges and markets.
Understand and support sales enablement; train on the problems we solve for our buyers; develop ongoing sales tools that facilitate the selling process.
Support the marketing team to develop marketing plans, including key activities and budgets to support the retention of existing customers and the acquisition of new customers.
Assess the effectiveness of the marketing programs that support our products on an ongoing basis, and report back to the business on required changes.
Act as one of the primary thought leaders for our products, including speaking engagements and written works.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, Computer Science, or related field from an accredited university or college
- 5 years of product marketing experience in B2B, software or high-tech industry, sales enablement, communications, or revenue/field marketing
Desired Characteristics:
- Knowledge of industrial software products (HMI/SCADA, MES, Historian, advanced analytics) is a plus.
- Previous experience in software product marketing is very desirable
- Excellent communication and networking skills
- Solid proof of presentation, writing, and general communication skills
- Experience crafting differentiated messaging for products in competitive markets
- Experience developing and leading product launch and broader go-to-market processes
- Experience orchestrating marketing plans and programs
- Experience enabling sales success with field sales and inside sales teams
- Results-orientation and able to be self-directed
- Excellent time management and organization skill with attention to detail
- Comfort with digital systems & tools
- Good command of Microsoft tools (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Mastery of English required, fluency in other languages a plus.

The salary range for this position is $120,000USD - $180,000USD. The specific salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate’s experience, their education, and the work location. In addition, this position is eligible for a performance bonus.
