Description

 

VitalSource®, is hiring a Business Development Manager to contribute to our Sales team located in Mexico or Brazil. This is a full-time remote role.

 

The VitalSource team is seeking a Business Development Manager. In this role, the primary goals will be to identify, prospect, negotiate, and close new business from both new and current accounts within the assigned region. This position is ideal for individuals with sales experience and a passion for education and/or technology.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Managing the sales process efficiently (i.e. closing current top deals and creating a solid pipeline of new deals).
  • Developing strategies to independently manage all business for the assigned market/territory.
  • Identifying high potential prospects and prospecting using various direct methods (e.g. calling and face-to-face meetings) and indirect methods (e.g. networking, email outreach, lead conversion).
  • Closing business to achieve and exceed quarterly and annual sales targets.
  • Forecasting accurately, especially close dates; expected net amounts, and overall pipeline value.
  • Supporting the implementation processes by defining and effectively communicating customer needs to the product development team and all other relevant teams.
  • Actively managing sales calls and meetings to expand business with current customers.
  • Managing all commercial and contract negotiation processes.

 

Required Qualifications:

  • Relevant sales experience
  • Native Spanish, fluent in Portuguese and English
  • Travel Requirement: Up to 50%
