The Senior Accountant is a trusted resource to the Accounting Manager, and is responsible for facilitating an accurate and consistent, global financial close process for the Company.
What You Will Do: Ensure books are closed in 4 days:o Maintain prepaid schedules in accordance with contract/invoice terms and record related amortization
o Roll forward fixed asset registers for additions and disposals, and record related depreciation and any gain/loss; liaise with Business Services for annual inventory audit
o Reconcile intercompany balances and record entries as needed
o Accrue for accounts payable and expense reports post-cutoff
o Ensure recurring accruals are posted throughout the year
o Prepare balance sheet reconciliations for 5 legal entities
o Review results against budget to help identify variances to plan and/or errors
Manage accounts payable:o Ensure all invoices are accurately processed and timely paid
o Work with budget owners to ensure postings align with budget
o Oversee
Bill.com administration, including cleanup and sync errors
o Manage vendors, including collection of W8s/W9s
o Process year end 1042 and 1099 reporting
Administer the Company’s credit card program:o Review credit card receipts from cardholders for proper account coding
o Reconcile monthly statements to the general ledger
o Work with cardholders to establish vendor payment terms in lieu of using cards
o Issue new cards, set appropriate credit limits and process temporary increases as needed
o Research suspected fraudulent activity
