Job description

Description

monday.com is seeking an experienced, versatile analyst to join the COO office. This is a senior role with pivotal, company-wide impact and high visibility. You will assume ownership of key data reporting and research flows covering monday.com’s core agendas. Your contributions will have a direct impact on our business strategy, cross company pivotal processes like OKRs, and the end-to-end customer journey.

About The Role

  • Partner with the COO office leadership to drive data driven decisions, lead OKR data processes striving for standardization and scale.
  • Research diverse, complex business and customer problems: utilize data from various sources and your analytical and statistical expertise to create visibility, identify leverages for action, and conceptualize and track relevant metrics to monitor improvement. Examples include the company's core business cycle, employee productivity, and many others
  • Build appealing, compelling dashboards and reports to translate data into meaningful representations that become vital decision-making tools for your consumers
  • Become a champion for high-quality data work across the organization, mentoring and guiding junior colleagues, setting standards for exceptional work by sharing examples and best practices, and becoming a leading contributor to the growing data community at monday

An excellent candidate will:

  • Have strong business aptitude, including familiarity with common methodologies and frameworks for at least two of the three following domains - marketing, product, or financial analytics
  • Possess top-notch analytical and technical skills, capable of owning a full data flow: problem definition, data collection, modeling, analysis, and reporting
  • Communicate highly effectively - be capable of identifying and extracting concise bottom lines, providing appropriate context, and creating compelling visualizations
  • Thrive working alongside colleagues from various domains, inspiring trust, and building successful partnerships and processes

Requirements

  • 3+ years of industry experience as an analyst team lead, or senior analyst with strong leadership interfaces. This is a great role for managers looking to return to a high-impact IC role
  • Demonstrated record of conceiving, designing, and shipping successful data analytics projects that drove business impact (interesting failures are also okay)
  • Excellent SQL skills; strong control of at least one popular BI tool such as Tableau or Looker
  • Advantage - proficiency in a scripting language used for data analysis (e.g. R, Python), or familiarity with ETL processes and data warehousing
  • Great communication skills with a penchant for data visualization and storytelling
