Territory Manager

Summary:

The position of Territory Manager is responsible for promoting sales of Vascular Access (VA) products in a defined territory by managing relationships with hospitals/clinics/physicians as well as working closely with distributors and other healthcare professionals to develop business opportunities. This includes identifying potential customers, developing marketing strategies and establishing and maintaining strong customer relations.

Responsibilities:

  • Develops territory-specific strategy and works within that strategy to maximize sales.

  • Maintains accurate account records, including information on product usage and inventory levels.

  • Identifies new accounts and markets to increase penetration into the Vascular Access marketplace.

  • Negotiates pricing, terms, conditions and contractual agreements to ensure best possible value to BD.

  • Works with regional management to identify and develop new markets and territories.

  • Coordinates territory activities with regional management to achieve goals.

  • Attends trade shows, conferences and seminars to promote products.

  • Monitors and analyzes competitive activity and reports findings to appropriate department manager.

  • Provides feedback to headquarters regarding current trends, changes or improvements in the marketplace.

  • Ensures compliance with all regulatory requirements and ethical standards.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree

  • Minimum of five years’ experience in medical device sales with proven track record of success.

  • Excellent communication skills – verbal and written.

  • Strong interpersonal skills; ability to interact effectively at all levels of an organization.

  • Demonstrated analytical skills and problem solving abilities.

  • Ability to travel up to 60% of time.

  • Knowledgeable in MS Office applications.

  • Must have valid driver’s license.

There are many factors, such as location, that contribute to the range displayed. The salary offered to a successful candidate is based on experience, education, skills, and actual work location. Salary ranges may vary for Field-based and Remote roles. $70k-$88k - Annual Range includes Base + Incentive
