Overview:

Foundry, an IDG company, is seeking a Director of Business Intelligence & Analytics. Foundry’s Business Intelligence & Analytics leader will provide strategic guidance through in-depth reporting to help achieve revenue and traffic goals.

The Director will provide deep insights to various levels of business stakeholders to drive traffic, registrations and business outcomes from all Foundry platforms.

The Director will have a combination of strong data exploration, business analytics, marketing analytics and statistical skills. The role will partner with strategic stakeholders to solve some of the most analytically complex questions and proactively identify business opportunities to ultimately accelerate Foundry’s growth. This role requires a highly organized, thorough, and quantitative person, but also nimble and creative, with the ability to think critically and influence the decision-making process through data and testing. The Director role will also be responsible for analyzing email newsletters, social, partnerships, and other business areas when necessary. 

Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with audience development and brand stakeholders to develop and execute data-driven analysis across all content distribution platforms, including social, email, and search.
  • Provide insights that will grow traffic and foster audience engagement and loyalty
  • Identify new growth opportunities and best practices based on emerging digital trends, competitive business intelligence, and consumer insights.
  • Lead and grow a team of analysts
  • Enable business to make informed decisions through accurate and robust analyses.
  • Translate complex analytics into concise and easily consumable insights that tell a compelling story to audiences at all levels.
  • Develop measurement frameworks, automate repeatable tasks, and build efficient processes. Manage Google Analytics 4 implementation and set agenda for analytics and BI tools
  • Help set agenda for analytics and BI tools
  • Oversee development of data science models including customer lifetime value (LTV) and prediction models.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, MIS, or other quantitative discipline. Masters preferred.
  • A solid grasp of Business Analytics, on-line experimentation methodologies, statistical models and basic Data Science frameworks
  • 10+ years experience including 5+ years leading an Analytics, Data Science or similar growth-oriented team.
  • Experience proactively identifying business opportunities leveraging expertise in Consumer, Media or Demand Generation analytics.
  • Expert SQL, Python and/or similar programming skills. Python, Other coding languages are a plus. We expect the leader to be hands on.
  • Experience with AWS or similar cloud databases.
  • Demonstrated success influencing executives on strategic direction based on recommendations backed by in-depth analysis.
  • Experience working in an entrepreneurial environment, with a proven track record of implementing new analytic techniques, tools and the associated change management to drive adoption and integration into business processes and rituals

IDG  is committed to paying our team equitably for their work, commensurate with their individual skills and experience.  Salary range and additional compensation, including discretionary bonuses and incentive pay, are determined by a rigorous review process taking into account the experience, education, certifications and skills required for the specific role, equity with similarly situated team members, as well as employer-verified region-specific market data provided by an independent 3rd party partner. Expected salary, dependent upon experience and location is between $170,000 and $200,000.00 USD which includes base and bonus (if applicable).
