Your missions

**Please note that although this is mainly a Remote role, there will be occasional travel for team meetings within an hour's traveling distance of the Hazlet, NJ area**

Our client is looking for a Junior Software Quality Assurance (SQA) tester/engineer to develop and execute manual and automated tests to ensure product quality. It will include monitoring all stages of software development to identify and resolve system malfunctions to meet quality standards.

The role plays an important part in the Company’s product development process. Our ideal candidate will be responsible for conducting tests before product launches to ensure software runs smoothly and meets client needs, while being cost-effective.

What You'll Do

Primary responsibilities:

Document test cases.
Record test progress and results.
Create and code test plans.
Develop standards and procedures to determine product quality and release readiness.
Discover bugs within software.
Drive innovation and streamline overall testing processes.
Identify, isolate, and track bugs throughout testing.
Identify any potential problems that users might encounter.
Perform manual and automated testing.
Perform thorough regression testing when bugs are resolved.
Research and analyze product features being tested.
Review user interfaces for consistency and functionality.

What We Need to See

Required skills and background:

2+ years of proven work experience in software quality assurance or similar
Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
Experience in writing clear, concise, and comprehensive test plans and test cases.
Working experience with test automation tools is a plus.
Solid knowledge of relational databases (MS SQL preferred), Web technologies and scripting.
Experience with testing Web applications, performance and/or security testing is a plus.
Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development process.
Bachelor’s Degree in Software Engineering or related field.
Good communication and self-management skills.
