Your missions

Our Mission
Goalbook’s mission is to empower educators to transform instruction so that ALL students succeed. We partner with 1000+ school districts across 46 states, working closely with leadership teams to improve instructional practice.

Who We’re Looking For
You’ve worked as a Life Skills specialist across multiple settings with students who have a wide range of disability designations. You are an expert in transition planning, integrating classroom instruction with related services, assessing students with complex needs, and have deep knowledge of the IEP process. You consistently seek out opportunities for improvement in every project, lesson plan, or initiative you’re involved with. You’re curious about emerging technologies and how they can continue to support students and teacher outcomes.

This role requires flexibility, since project assignments can be distinctly different from quarter to quarter. You will use a variety of methods, including AI and collaborating with contracted content creators, to create research-based, standards-aligned content that supports students with disabilities. The ideal candidate thrives in constantly evolving environments, loves to learn, and is excited to lead projects that do not align with their previously-established areas of expertise. This role also requires the ability to be critical of one’s own work and open to feedback via collaboration.

Key Responsibilities
Manage projects
- Lead and collaborate on content creation projects in a variety of academic areas, including outside of your own areas of expertise.
- Gather internal data and metrics to drive strategic decisions.
- Communicate project objectives and outcomes to key stakeholders.
- Organize and maintain internal documentation systems and resources.
- Depending on the project, complete end-to-end workflow individually, or with contracted content contributors.

Develop content creation processes
- Design and implement content production workflows that optimize outcomes related to efficiency, quality, and cost.
- Frequently experiment and improve content production workflows to integrate feedback, new learnings, and technologies.

Have ownership of the product
- Deeply understand Goalbook Toolkit users through exploration of the product and consistent analysis of user data.
- Advocate for users by identifying evidence-based product improvements.

Preferred Skills & Experience
- 3+ years experience as a Life Skills specialist in a US K–12 public school (grades 9–12/continuum preferred)
- 2+ years leadership or coaching experience
- Experience with/or curiosity about generative AI
- Proficiency with/willingness to learn content creation and project management tools such as Google Suite, Asana, Miro, Zoom

Benefits
- 70-90k compensation range, based on experience and location
- Medical, dental, and vision coverage
- Safe Harbor 401k matching
- Flexible time off policy
- Goalbook Family and Medical Leave
- Goalbook Universal Basic Income
- A truly motivated, passionate, and fun team. We’re collectively interested in helping you grow in your career.
