Job description

We are searching for a Supervisor, Warehouse to join our team. Supervise the activities of warehouse staff, including picking, packing, shipping, receiving and inventory related transactions. Plan and prioritize work assignments for the team to ensure optimal workflow and productivity. Train and develop team members on proper warehouse procedures, safety protocols, and company policies.

Essential Functions:

  • Supervise the activities of warehouse staff, including picking, packing, shipping, and receiving.
  • Investigates complaints regarding warehouse inventory.
  • Coordinate with team leads to plan, prioritize, and optimize workflow for maximum productivity, reliability, and cost-effectiveness.
  • Train and develop team members on proper warehouse procedures, safety protocols, and company policies.
  • Responsible for maintaining a productive relationship with FMIC Inventory Support team.
  • Identify improvement opportunities to continuously improve team performance.
  • Responsible for managing the work and productivity of the team of warehouse support personnel for the inventory supporting FMIC organization.
  • Records and tracks vendor and/or product quality history.
  • Manages the proper identification, tagging, and disposition of unusable (rejected) vendor materials.
  • Record unusable finished goods due to errors and monitor material inventory to prevent work stoppages.
  • Operates forklift truck or uses hand truck to move from assigned locations to storage or work area.
  • Follow the product through the entire process to assure a quality part is manufactured or shipped.
  • Additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • 3 to 5 years of leadership experience leading and developing people in a warehouse environment
  • Experience with Material Handling Equipment including a forklift
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Ability to be persuasive and build alignment with all levels and across functions within FMIC
  • Negotiation and conflict resolution skills
  • A high energy level self-starter with strong personal work ethic motivated by the desire to have an impact, and highly committed to exceeding expectations and continuous improvement
  • Ability to adapt to different management, communication, and delivery styles (as needed) for different situations
