About the Role


Our Associate Salesforce Administrator will play a crucial role in optimizing and maintaining the Salesforce platform for the Department of Veterans Affairs. You will work closely with other administrators, developers, architects, business stakeholders, and end-users to understand requirements, implement changes, and ensure the smooth operation of Salesforce systems. This role offers an excellent opportunity for learning and growth in Salesforce administration and business process management. The successful candidate will have a basic understanding of Salesforce functionalities, strong analytical skills, and the ability to collaborate with various stakeholders. We're seeking Salesforce team members to help modernize and enhance enterprise system that connects healthcare providers directly with millions of US veterans seeking care. 


RESPONSIBILITIES

Our Salesforce Administrator will work within an Agile environment and collaborate with other developers, product owners, test engineers, and architects to:

  • Provide frontline support to Salesforce users, addressing inquiries, troubleshooting issues, and resolving user-reported problems.
  • Assist in configuring Salesforce objects, fields, workflows, validation rules, and other system components to meet business requirements.
  • Collaborate with other administrators and developers to implement customizations, integrations, and enhancements.
  • Support data cleansing, deduplication, and migration activities to ensure data accuracy and integrity within Salesforce.
  • Assist in creating and maintaining data reports, dashboards, and views to support business analytics and decision-making.
  • Perform routine system maintenance tasks, including user provisioning, profile management, and permission set assignments.
  • Monitor system performance, security, and compliance, addressing any issues or concerns as they arise.
  • Document Salesforce configurations, processes, and procedures to maintain an up-to-date knowledge base.
  • Stay informed about Salesforce updates, new features, and best practices, sharing insights with the team to drive continuous improvement.


QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Salesforce Administrator certification preferred, or willingness to obtain certification
  • Basic understanding of Salesforce platform fundamentals, including data model, security model, and declarative customization options.
  • Familiarity with Salesforce Lightning Experience and related technologies 
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Eagerness to learn and grow in the field of Salesforce administration and technology.
  • Experience working with Federal agencies is a plus.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Military experienced candidates are encouraged to apply.
  • Candidates will need to obtain Security Clearance of Public Trust once hired
