Our organization is seeking a Pharmacy Technician Medication Associate to join our Central Member Services department / Medication Management Team. This is a full-time position with a rapidly growing company that will be loaded with challenges, excitement, and opportunity.

Ultimately, you will ensure our members receive their medications in a timely fashion

Responsibilities for a Pharmacy Technician Medication Associate include, but not limited to:

  • Delivering quality customer service to members, responding to inquiries, questions, or requests, and referring them to the appropriate parties where necessary including inbound/outbound calls, text, and email
  • Coordinate with members, Member Service Associates, medical providers, insurance companies, and pharmacy staff to ensure accurate prescriptions
  • Ability to troubleshoot complex issues with pharmacies and insurance companies to ensure medication is available when needed
  • Review and interpret medication history data from all available sources, including the Prescription Drug Monitoring Program (PDMP)
  • Processing bulk electronic prescriptions and evaluating in the internal system for completeness and accuracy
  • Recording medical histories while maintaining confidentiality and compliance with HIPAA and 42 CFR Part 2 regulations
  • Determine the need for Prior Authorizations and process as required. Troubleshoot these issues when necessary


This position is full-time, 40 hours per week. Eastern Time and is remote (work from home).

This is a full-time, non-exempt (hourly) position. The starting range for this position is $18.53 - $24.63 per hour + equity + benefits. The final compensation package is influenced by various factors such as experience, education, degrees earned, market data, and business requirements

This position is remote (work from home) with the expectation of attending team meetings no more than once quarterly. Candidates must reside in one of the following states: District of Columbia, Florida, Georgia, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Mississippi, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New Mexico, New York, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, South Carolina, Texas, Vermont, Virginia, Washington, West Virginia.

Qualifications for a Pharmacy Technician Medication Associate:

  • Proven work experience in a pharmacy, medical office, or hospital or similar role
  • A pharmacy technician certification (CPhT) or a licensed practical nurse (LPN) / licensed vocational nurse (LVN) license
  • Familiarity with the medication prescribing life cycle
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • The ability to use a computer and navigate multiple systems simultaneously
  • Necessary math skills for calculating complex medication quantities and durations
  • Extensive customer service experience; comfortability with speaking over the phone, texting, and emailing
  • Experience working in a fast-paced work environment, remote work a plus
  • Must be dependable
  • Ability to work effectively in a close-knit team and independently
  • Inbound call experience required


Work-from-home requirements:

  • Must have reliable, high-speed internet service with minimum upload/download ability.
  • The company will provide equipment (laptop, monitor, keyboard, mouse, and headset) plus a remote work stipend.
  • Must have a quiet HIPAA-compliant workspace to speak to members with minimal background noise.
  • Must understand the importance of protected health information and ensure any data/information is not visible to others.
