Your missions

Electronics Technician – Marine Equipment (REMOTE) Description

We are seeking an Offshore Electronics Technician with experience in troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing geophysical, hydrographic, and oceanographic equipment.

  • Troubleshoot and repair electronic and software programming issues
  • Contribute to offshore and nearshore marine survey projects
  • Assist with in-house equipment bench testing, repairs, and regular maintenance
  • Perform mobilization check-out of marine geophysical and hydrographic equipment and demobilization check-in of equipment in the resources management system
  • Summarize service and maintenance reports and requests for parts and marine survey equipment

Electronics Technician Qualifications

  • 3 years of relevant work experience as an offshore electronics technician
  • Understanding of offshore marine survey operations, repair, and maintenance of geophysical
  • Working knowledge of operations and maintenance of hydrographic and oceanographic equipment including multi-beam echosounders, SVPs, CTDs, and ADCPs
  • Experience cable splicing and soldering, use of diagnostic equipment, and serial/UDP/TCP communications
  • 50%+ travel to marine survey projects both within the US and overseas will be required
