Job Summary
This role is for a self-motivated technical leader for multiple circuit simulation products in the Silvaco SmartSpice© line of products. Lead the specification, architecture and development of core simulator features working with a geographically distributed team of software engineers and technical managers. Hands-on technical leader with extensive experience in C/C++ building advanced circuit simulation solutions.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES; include but not limited to:
- Develop and manage the technical roadmap for Silvaco SmartSpice© line of products within the Electronic Design Automation (EDA) business unit.
- Lead, build and develop a geographically distributed development team to achieve these objectives, including regular performance assessments and evaluation of team members.
- Working closely with customers and cross-functional stakeholders to communicate technical requirements, proposals and project statuses.
- Develop technical product roadmaps that address customer requirements and ensure competitive leadership of the Silvaco SmartSpice© line of products.
- Deliver software product releases in line with the product roadmap, on time and with high quality.
- Providing clear, accurate and effective written documentation.
Qualifications And Required Experience
- Advanced degree (MS/PhD) in electrical engineering, computer science, applied mathematics, or a similar field with 6 or more years of related experience.
- Extensive experience in numerical analysis, sparse matrix algorithms and techniques, or numerical algorithms for the solution of systems of ordinary and partial differential equations.
- Experience architecting, developing, testing, debugging, and performance analysis in the optimization of HPC software.
- Advanced understanding and experience on algorithms for VLSI circuit simulation, electrical circuit analysis techniques and concepts.
- Understanding of the fundamentals of solid-state physics used in compact modeling for circuit simulation, Verilog-A modeling and compilation for circuit simulation.
- Demonstrated software engineering skills in implementation of high-performance numerical algorithms and data structure design and implementation.
- Development experience in C/C++, including proficiency in memory optimization, high-performance data structures and algorithms with multi-threaded programming experience.
- Strong oral and written communication skills in English.
- Creative problem-solving skills.
- Experience working in international and remote teams preferred.

The
US base salary range for this full-time position is $159,000-190,000. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location, and the range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location, role-related knowledge and skills, depth of experience, relevant education or training, and additional role-related considerations.
Depending on the position offered, equity, bonuses, commission, or other forms of compensation may also be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and other benefits.
