Channel Partner Representative



An excellent opportunity has become available to join Kennametal as a Channel Partner Representative. The successful candidate will be responsible for generating new business for Kennametal's portfolio of cutting-edge products that are highly regarded as the industry's most complete product line.

Working with our valued customers and driving our success, you will represent some of the industry's most diverse and in-demand products. From milling cutters and carbide inserts to solid carbide drills, tool holders and so much more, we offer our customers a broad portfolio for any metal working application.

This position supports the local distributor sales force with technical tooling and all product application solutions. A Channel Partner Representative serves as a valuable resource and a leader within the sales territory. This position is more mature in experience and expertise, as well as thoroughly knowledgeable in the metal cutting industry: as such, the incumbent is expected to carry larger customer accounts, take on large strategic projects, act as a trainer/mentor for less experienced team members, and step up as interim leader when necessary.



Responsibilities:

  1. Roll-out Kennametal strategy thru channel partners in the Triveneto area.
  2. Report market information and needs to supervisor, marketing and the different supporting functions of the company.
  3. Work closely with the local distribution sales force to identify new sales opportunities and promote Kennametal products in the assigned geographical area.
  4. Promote products and services in order to achieve assigned sales goal; favorably influence the product selection in targeted accounts.
  5. Support and participate in team sales initiatives where applicable by gathering and communicating pertinent information for assigned accounts.
  6. Develop and grow partnerships with end users together with the distributor. Negotiate contracts, programs and other agreements.
  7. Suggest and participate in local marketing actions and initiatives to promote the Kennametal brand, in respect of the allocated costs.



Job Requirements:

  1. Experience on metal cutting tool industry is crucial.Sales experience in B-to-B ideally with distributors. Experience in leading commercial negotiations.
  2. Energized and positive with an open-minded entrepreneurial mindset.
  3. Qualification in Mechanical/Manufacturing Engineering.
  4. An innovative and self-motivated individual who is able to work independently.
  5. Able to communicate in English.



Base Location:

Home based ideal base location is over all Triveneto Area, Verona-Vicenza-Padova-Trento-Bolzano-Treviso; travelling up to 75% of the time in those areas.
