Location: Remote – USA

The Role: As the Director of Compliance and Privacy Officer, you will be responsible for overseeing and implementing comprehensive compliance and data privacy programs to protect our organization's integrity and sensitive data. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to maintain regulatory compliance and ensure the privacy and security of patient and client information. This position reports directly to the Chief Compliance Officer.

As the Director, Compliance and Privacy Office, you will:

  • Maintain, and create as needed, company-wide compliance and privacy policies, procedures, and protocols.
  • Stay current with healthcare regulations, including HIPAA, HITECH, and other relevant laws, and ensure the organization's compliance.
  • Conduct risk assessments and audits to identify potential compliance and privacy issues.
  • Collaborate with internal departments to ensure adherence to compliance and privacy guidelines in day-to-day operations.
  • Investigate and resolve compliance and privacy violations, including reporting incidents as required by law.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for compliance and privacy inquiries and concerns.
  • Work with cross functional teams, including training and development and Human Resources, to maintain and update compliance and privacy training programs for employees.
  • Serve as a member of the Compliance Committee.
  • Monitor changes in healthcare regulations and privacy best practices to ensure ongoing compliance.
  • Prepare and submit necessary reports to regulatory bodies, as required.


You will be successful if you have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business, or a related field.
  • Certification in healthcare compliance (e.g., Certified in Healthcare Compliance - CHC) and Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP) certification is highly desirable.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in healthcare compliance and privacy management, preferably in the revenue cycle management industry.
  • In-depth knowledge of healthcare regulations, including HIPAA, HITECH, and related laws.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Proven ability to lead and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Commitment to maintaining the highest standards of ethics and integrity.

  • A quiet, distraction-free environment to work from in your home. 
  • A secure home internet connection with speeds >20 Mbps for downloads and >10 Mbps for uploads is required.
  • The workspace area accommodates all workstation equipment and related materials and provides adequate surface area to be productive.
