We are seeking a Product Manager to lead the Altair One™ Viewer that plays a crucial role in engineering visual collaboration for enterprises. The Viewer enables visual exploration of engineering data (Design, Simulation and Manufacturing) in a web browser that allows all stakeholders to collaborate and foster better decision making.

As an ideal candidate, you demonstrate curiosity and empathy towards customer’s pain points and have the agility and innovative mindset to solve them. You’re aware of the competitive landscape and are passionate to build a differentiator to delight our customers. You feel confident working with cross-functional teams to lead successful creation of products that improve customer experience and drive market growth.

Roles And Responsibilities

• Define and execute the roadmap for Altair One™ Viewer as part of the platform component
• Specify high level product requirements for the engineering team
• Collaborate with modeling and visualization application teams to facilitate geometry and result translation and meta data extraction
• Assist other teams developing web visualization applications utilizing viewer technology. Understand their requirements and incorporate them into the product development roadmap
• Assess current competitor offerings, seeking opportunities for differentiation and new product offerings
• Plan and carry out product releases by collaborating with engineering, QA and production engineering teams
• Collaborate with marketing and sales team on product launches and collateral development
  
  
  

What You Will Need

• Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Must have experience in CAE engineering and design, virtual prototyping and results post-processing workflows
• 3-4 years of experience as a Product Engineer or any related position in application engineering is desirable
• Understanding cloud and HPC technologies is advantageous
• Strong product development focus and a reasonable understanding of web technologies including WebGL
• Good written and verbal communication combined with strong presentation skills
