Manager, Oracle Team
Coaches, mentors, and leads individual team members
Hires and trains new Oracle DBAs
Provides technical expertise and is a subject matter expert to Oracle DBAs and customers
Responsible for escalation of customer issues or concerns.
Provides oversight and direction to team members
Ensures service delivery consistency across all team members
Works with other team managers to ensure consistency across teams
Participates in a technical escalation on-call rotation
Analyzes individual customer workloads and assigns customers where appropriate
Makes recommendations for process improvements based on DBA and customer feedback
Works with other teams to optimize service delivery processes, including monitoring, customer success managers, sales, and professional services
Participates in internal initiatives to improve operational efficiency
Responsible for P&L for the Oracle department.
Provides DBA support as a primary DBA for customers
Provides proactive and reactive database support for customers
Maintains a high level of expertise in all areas of Oracle, including but not limited to, RAC, Data Guard, patching, upgrades, installations, migrations, standard maintenance, performance tuning, and configuration
Makes recommendations to customers to optimize and improve their Oracle environment
Directly supervises employees on the Oracle Team.
Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
Interviews, hires, and trains employees.
Plans, assigns, and directs work.
Appraises performance.
Rewards and disciplines employees.
Addresses complaints and resolves problems.
