Operations Opportunity – Project Manager

StormTrap, an industry leader in stormwater management solutions, has a Construction Project Manager opportunity available in the Northeast Region. This is a terrific opportunity for a talented construction operations professional to join a growing group of committed teammates who respect and appreciate the contributions of all co-workers while providing stormwater management solutions to developers, municipalities, engineers, and construction professionals. 

 

Preferred Location

This is not a fully remote position. This opportunity is specific to the US Northeast Territory; preferable candidates located in the New England (Boston, Hartford) or Harrisburg, PA areas.

  

Overview 

Project Managers are responsible for onsite project management and coordination between StormTrap’s customer and the precast manufacturer. Project Managers report directly to a regional Senior Project Manager and work closely with Territory Managers (sales professionals/engineers) from shortly after purchase order execution to ensure customer satisfaction through to the end of the installation. Project Managers are also responsible for the overall strategic allocation and management of StormTrap forming assets as well as the cultivation and maintenance of precast manufacturer relationships. Our Project Managers and Territory Managers work collectively, employing the company sales/ops process, to provide our stake holders the best solution in the industry (civil engineers, developers, municipalities and site work/utility contractors).


Responsibilities 

  • Manage Existing Manufacturer Relationships; activities include:
    • Production planning and resource allocation
    • Audits of steel forms and precast products
    • Coordination of production timelines and delivery planning
    • Ensure production lead times are consistent with sales commitments
  • Coordinate and oversee all logistics associated with the installation process including:
    • Onsite preconstruction meetings
    • Planning and execution of delivery logistics with site specific knowledge
    • Onsite assistance
    • Coordination with engineering department for onsite support as needed
  • Forge strong relationships with new and existing precast manufacturers, developer, general contractors, and subcontractors
  • Utilize and maintain CRM data integrity and other software tools

 

Desired Skills and Experience  

  • Must possess excellent communication, time management and organizational skills, a high level of self-motivation, creativity in overcoming problems and objections, strong technical aptitude and negotiating skills
  • Self-starter, accountable, driven, ethical, hard-working, personable, rejection proof, and work well independently and with others from a home office
  • Previous project engineer experience and ability to read utility plans preferred
  • Heavy civil equipment knowledge, a plus

 

Job Requirements 

  • Bachelor's degree or related experience required, preferably in construction management or civil engineering
  • Minimum two years’ experience in any of the following – wet/dry utilities, grading, land development, stormwater
  • Knowledge of construction methods and ability to read construction drawings
  • Experience with Salesforce or similar Project Management/CRM software, a plus
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office / Office 365 and other standard office software
  • Strong data organizational skills desired
  • Valid Driver’s License, current insurance, and a good driving record
  • A complete background check including professional references

 

Travel 

Ability to Travel 75%+ from home office

25% - 40% of the 75% would be overnight travel
