Position Title:  Procurement Analyst

Reports To:     Procurement Manager

Position Summary:

The Procurement Analyst will play a crucial role in our supply chain management process by analyzing and optimizing procurement activities related to inventory, production planning, and data analytics. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, experience in procurement, and the ability to work collaboratively across departments. They are charged with learning to effectively multitask with the shipping and receiving personnel, the supply chain associates, and vendors in the performance of the position’s duties. 

Location: Richmond, VA (On-site)

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Analyze inventory levels and trends to ensure optimal stock levels.
  • Expand upon and implement inventory management strategies to minimize costs and maximize efficiency.
  • Work with strategic sourcing specialists to align Vendor performance and KPIs with the needs of the inventory.
  • Assist in developing the forecast inventory demand and strategize how to keep the inventory programs successful in order to facilitate growth
  • Primary contact in interface with KSB Group, adhering to material data record structures
  • Collaborate with the production team to align procurement activities with production schedules
  • Identify potential bottlenecks in the supply chain and develop mitigation strategies
  • Collect and analyze data related to procurement, inventory, and production
  • Create and maintain dashboards and reports to monitor key performance indicators (KPIs)
  • Utilize data analytics tools to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for improvement
  • Conduct cost analysis to identify cost-saving opportunities
  • Assists in defining and implementing the policies, procedures, and controls to ensure the inventory and its surrounding data is accurate, complete, secure, and reliable.
  • Supports the continuous improvement efforts, their implementation, enhancement, and ongoing operation of Company’s ERP system.
  • Identify and mitigate risks associated with procurement and inventory activities.
  • Other duties as may be specifically assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Lean Management - effectively executes lean management principals to help drive continuous improvement practices
  • Deductive Reasoning – applies logic and reason to specific problems in producing sensible answers.
  • Information recall – ascertains the significance of new information for current and future needs and uses.
  • Intuition – strives to identify and address potential problems before they become issues.
  • Quality & Productivity – produces work at a fast rate and with high accuracy; assumes responsibility and accepts accountability whenever missteps happen or mistakes occur.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Advanced knowledge with Microsoft Office products and effective in utilization of ERP systems.
  • Strong analytical skills with proficiency in data analysis and using a systematic approach to problem solving
  • Purchasing – buying, sourcing, and fulfillment management.
  • Minimum of BS in Supply Chain Management, Business, or related field.
  • Minimum of three years of relevant experience required.
  • Professional Certificate in planning or procurement preferred.
